EAA CHAPTER 202 OCTOBER 2002 MEETING.

The monthly EAA Chapter 202 meeting was held last Saturday Oct 19.  Main
agenda item was nominations for new officers.  Considerations for
nominations was President, Vice President, Secretary, and 2 board members.
Dick Smith was the only nomination for President and there were multiple
nominations for the other positions.  Vance White was nominated absententcia
for Secretary.  Voting will be held during the November meeting.  Assuming
that I can get a volunteer or two, the voters will be put in a good mood with
a pancake breakfast prior to the November meeting.

The annual Christmas Party will be held December 7 at the Hangar.  The
Chapter will provide the basic meets with members bringing covered dishes.
Joel Strait will give the blessing and a gift exchange will follow dinner.
Gifts are to be valued around $5 to $10.  Discussion by members cited that
junk gifts are not appreciated and diminish the excitement of the Yankee
style exchange

The recent fly-ins to Evergreen and Thomasville were discussed as well as
upcoming fly-ins.

Cubby repairs are still on hold but before years end. I (Hal) plan to get a
group together and fabric the wings and control surfaces.
All materials for covering are on hand, according to Cal Persinger.

Approximately 25 members attended the meeting.
